Earbuds Not Charging
Charging issues are almost always about contact, cable, or power source rather than a dead battery. Start with the cheapest, fastest checks before assuming you need a replacement.
Clean the charging contacts
Pocket lint and earwax buildup on the metal contacts (both on the earbuds and inside the case) is the single most common cause of charging failures. Wipe gently with a dry cotton swab or soft brush.
Try a different cable and adapter
A worn charging cable or a low-power USB port can fail to deliver enough current to charge the case. Test with a cable and adapter you know works on another device.
Check the case is seated correctly
Earbuds need to click firmly into their slot to make contact. If they sit loosely or at an angle, they may show as "in the case" without actually charging.
Let it charge for longer than expected
If the case battery is fully drained, some models need several minutes of charging before the LED even turns on. Leave it connected for at least 15-20 minutes before troubleshooting further.
Inspect the case's own battery
Cases have their own internal battery separate from the earbuds. If the case itself won't hold charge, the earbuds inside won't charge either, even with clean contacts.
Try a factory reset
Some models get stuck in a bad charging state that a reset clears — check your specific model's reset method.
Still not working?
If contacts are clean, the cable works elsewhere, and it still won't charge after 20+ minutes, the case's charging circuit or battery has likely failed and needs a warranty replacement.
